VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The IUFRO2019 Congress Volunteer Program will engage students in supporting the production of this event through volunteering, providing an opportunity for them to participate actively in the technical discussions. Volunteers will participate on a full-time basis, providing support for the event for part of the time and participating in IUFRO2019 for the rest of the time. Through this call for volunteers we expect to select up to 100 students.

1. Assist in the organization and distribution of materials.
2. Assist in the secretarial and reception areas.
3. Provide information and support to Congress participants.
4. Monitor room assignments and provide support if any unexpected situations arise during the technical, plenary, or sub-plenary sessions and regular congress activities.
5. Monitor technical visits (October 3).
6. Assist congress participants in the computer support room during the process of receiving work to be included in the congress database (oral and poster sessions).
7. Provide assistance in the exhibition area.

1. Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in Forestry or a graduate student (master’s or doctorate) in Forestry or related areas.
2. Speak at least two languages (Portuguese and English, Spanish and Portuguese, Spanish and English).
3. Be willing to volunteer for at least 4 hours a day every day of the Congress and to accompany one of the technical visits on October 3.
4. Be available in Curitiba from September 26 to October 5, which includes training prior to the event on September 27 and 28, and participate during all the days of the Congress.

1. The right to participate in Congress activities during hours when not scheduled to work.
2. Full waiver of Congress registration fee.
3. Training to carry out volunteer activities during the Congress.
4. Certificate of volunteer service during the Congress.
5. T-shirts and vest identifying IUFRO2019 Congress volunteers.

The volunteers will be selected by the members of the Congress Organizing Committee, and graduate students with abstracts that have been accepted for IUFRO2019 will have priority.
