Brazil will have the honor of hosting the 25th IUFRO World Congress in 2019 in Curitiba, Paraná. This is the first time this congress will be held in Latin America; as such, it offers a unique opportunity for researchers from the region to show the importance of forestry research in promoting sustainable development.
The event’s host institutions are the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB) and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA). Other institutions will also support the event, such as governmental agencies, universities, research institutes, and companions in the forestry sector, as well local and national tourism entities.
IUFRO congresses are organized by two committees, the Congress Scientific Committee (CSC) and the Congress Organizing Committee (COC).
