Organizing a congress like IUFRO 2019 is a great feat of collective and international construction. This is visible in the call for sessions and for abstracts.
We have invited scientists from around the world to organize technical sessions and have put together a schedule of content featuring 187 sessions led by individuals from all continents. We received over 4000 abstracts, which were distributed into these sessions.
During this process, 287 session coordinators participated in more than 7000 reviews, and we were very pleased with the high-quality abstracts which were submitted.
The abstracts cover the topics featured in the Congress, addressing environmental, social, and production aspects, and represent all of IUFRO’s divisions.
Even though communication is not a theme of this Congress, this area has been highlighted for its importance and transversal nature.
Brazil was the country that submitted the most abstracts (927), followed by the United States (211), India (183), Nigeria (175), China (161), Germany (131), and Colombia (111), with a total of 122 countries represented (see the complete list of countries).
