SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

The scientific program for the IUFRO World Congress includes:

• plenary sessions
• sub-plenary sessions
• technical sessions
• poster sessions
• technical tours
• side events
• trade fair/exhibition

The plenary sessions are defined by the Scientific Committee, the IUFRO Board, and the Congress Organizing Committee.

The technical sessions are proposed by the participants and selected by the Scientific Committee. A call for submissions is then issued for abstracts for the technical and poster sessions.

The technical tours are proposed by the local Congress organization, which selects places of scenic interest, forest companies, traditional communities, and research institutions.

A call for submissions is also made for the side events.
